A Study On Zhou Enlai’s The Concept Of The Chinese Nation

The concept of Chinese nation of the Chinese communist party is regarded as the most vivid embodiment for sinicization of Marxist national theory,which is the logical fulcrum of the nation-state construction and national theory of Chinese characteristics.It is the ideological basis of formulating and implementing the national policy for the Chinese communist party,strengthening the blood consciousness,promoting national unity and leading the national people to achieve "Chinese Dream" of the great rejuvenation for the Chinese nation,at the same time,it is the spiritual resources to distinguish the various " nationalism" and advocate for the building of the human destiny community.Zhou Enlai’s concept of the Chinese nation is an important part in that ones of the Chinese communist party,its connotation refers to Zhou Enlai’s general understanding and basic view of the "Chinese nation",which includes two levels,the one is the overall understanding of the Chinese nation,and the other one is the understanding of inter-ethnic relations and development of the Chinese nation.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The text mainly includes four aspects.The first aspect is the historical background and theoretical origin of formation of for Zhou Enlai’s the concept of Chinese nation.It is mainly exploring the historical background of formation for Zhou Enlai’s concept of Chinese nation from the social nature of semi-feudal and semi-colonial and his personal experience;and then from three aspects of the national integration thought of Chinese traditional culture,the awakening of Chinese national consciousness for the bourgeois advanced intellectuals in the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China and the national theory of Marxism to clarify the theoretical origin of formation for Zhou Enlai’s concept of Chinese nation.The second aspect is the main content of Zhou Enlai’s concept of Chinese nation,which is mainly discusses Zhou Enlai’s concept of the formation of the Chinese nation,the concept of Chinese national culture,the concept of the Chinese national characteristics,the concept of ethnic groups of the Chinese nation and the concept of development of the Chinese nation.The third aspect is the main characteristics of Zhou Enlai’s concept of the Chinese nation.This paper argues that Zhou Enlai’s concept of the Chinese nation is the unity between inheritance and innovation,between stage and systematic,between nationality and world.The fourth aspect is contemporary inspiration for Zhou Enlai’s concept of the Chinese nation.This paper is mainly discussing on the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,the national policy of the party under the new situation,the way of solving national problems other multi-ethnic countries.
