With the development of China's market economy and the deepening of the labor market,the relationship between labor and capital is becoming more and more serious in recent years.At the same time,the new generation has become the main part of the labor market.This group is increasingly seeking social justice and tends to express their demands through spontaneous collective action,which makes the labor relations more unstable.The contradiction between labor and capital has become one of the main problems that affect the social harmony.Under this background,the duties of union to protect labors' rights and to stabilize labor relations have been highly valued by the State Administration.So it is an important task for the current trade union to strengthen the attraction and cohesion of the union.Therefore,the union commitment and related issues are important and meaningful research topics in the Chinese context.Based on the social exchange theory,equity theory,motivation theory model of job involvement and Comprehensive theoretical model of job involvement,this study discusses the relationship between union instrumentality and union commitment and job involvement,the mediating role of procedural fairness and the moderating effect of enterprise ownership from the angle of the construction of China 's special socialist trade union.Then,based on the survey data of 43 enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region and 703 new generation employees,this paper makes use of SPSS,AMOS and MPLUS to test the hypotheses,and gets the following conclusions:Firstly,the union instrumentality has a significant positive effect on the procedural justice,union commitment and job involvement;secondly,procedural justice has a significant positive effect on the union commitment and job involvement;thirdly,procedural justice mediates the relationship between unions instrumentality and union commitment,and plays an intermediary role between unions and tools of job involvement;fourth,the corporate ownership moderates the relationship between union instrumentality and procedural justice,and the mediating effect of procedural justice.According to above research results,in order to enhance the attractiveness and cohesion of the union and to alleviate labor relations,union should pay attention to play the role of their own,strengthen communication with staff and understand the problems faced by employees.Secondly,the union should promote the labor union elections actively,innovate the working mode of trade unions,ncreas the proportion of new generation and improve trade union representative;finally,it should pay attention to the role of trade unions in non-public enterprises.
