Microalgae is the phytoplankton which exists in natural water widely,but were rarely founded in the tap water.Fatty acids and pigments are the biomarkers of chemotaxonomy in microalgae.Microalgae could transfer to clothing which were contacted with natural water.If the fatty acids or pigments of microalgae were detected from clothing,it can be concluded that the clothing had contacted with natural water.In this study,the method of examining fatty acids and pigments examination from the clothing sample which contacted with natural water were established,by which have detected the fatty acid and chlorophyll which were peculiar founded in the sample linked with natural water.Microalgae fatty acids in water-linked clothing were detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).It draws the conclusion that when hydrochloric acid-methanol is used for fatty acid methyl ester reagent,the time of methyl esterification is 20 min,whose methyl esterification effect is the best.The direct way were compared with the indirect way in extracting microalgae fatty acid from water-linked clothing.The direct way could extract more fatty acids,but it is seriously affected by clothing,and has difficult to distinguish water-linked clothing from normal one.The microalgae were better extracted by the indirect way,and C20:0 were only detected in those water-linked clothing.This method is available with samples contacted with water within 5 days.Ultra performance convergence chromatography(UPC2)-Quadrupole Time-of-Flight mass Spectrometry(Q-TOF-MS)were used to detect pigment of microalgae in water-linked clothing.The detection of Pheophytine and degrade-chlorophyll a on different kinds of waterlinked clothing were compared.The results showed that the degraded-chlorophyll a has the ability to mark water-linked clothing,cause it was not detected in any blank samples.Pheophytine could be detectable within 2 days after contacting the natural water,and degradedchlorophyll a did not decrease with time.Comparing the analysis methods of microalgae fatty acid and pigment,the experiment in pigment analysis is simple and reliable,and could not be affected by clothing.The degradedchlorophyll a,as one of the pigment,is a great marker of water-linked clothing.It can prove that clothing had been contacted with natural water on the detection of degraded-chlorophyll a.
