With the continuous development of Community Economy,the phenomenon of two-sided markets has been widely seen in the Internet industry,the banking card industry,large retail industry,other recently emergent industries and greatly changed the traditional business model.Two-sided markets is different from the single market.Its characteristics like the market diversification,the dependence and complementarity between the two-sides markets of the platform,cross-network externality and the asymmetry of price mechanism have been put forward new challenges to relevant market definition and competitive impact analysis in antitrust law.The relevant market definition is the starting point of dealing with antitrust cases,and the competitive impact analysis is an important aspect of antitrust cases.The difficulty of relevant market definition is definiting the relevant product market,identifying the relevant geographic market and defniting of the relevant time market.The dilemma of the competitive impact analysis is cognizancing dominant market positions,the complexity of price mechanism and the vague of competition behavior.Enforcement agencies of the anti-monopoly law in foreign countries have rich practical experience in dealing with the anti-monopoly cases of two-sides markets.In 1999,the United States "Microsoft case" opened the door to the research of two-sides markets.In 2007,"Google case" provided a new idea for the relevant market definition and competitive impact analysis under the theory of two-sides markets.To overcome the difficulties of relevant market definition in antitrust cases,we need to distinguish two-sides market's type in the perspective of two-sides markets,modify SSNIP,innovate the method of defining the relevant product market and consider the definition of the relevant geographic market.To resolve the dilemma of the competitive impact analysis in two-sides markets,it is necessary to determine the dominant market positions from the market entry,and consider the degree of market share expansion,sales and other factors;In the analysis of price,we need to consider the strength of the market forces,the degree of market competition,the degree of damage to consumers and other factors;In addition,we should analyse the competitive behavior with the principle of rationality.
