A Study On The Cultivation Of Citizen Consciousness Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers In China

Citizen consciousness refers to the unity of citizens' rights and obligations that they should enjoy as a citizen in a state of mind and the state of practice at the behavioral level indispensably.As the superstructure of the society,citizen consciousness is determined by the economic basis.With the development of the economy,the social demands for the quality of citizens have also increased.In our country,improving citizen consciousness is not only conducive to promoting the construction of socialist spiritual civilization,cultivating socialist core values,but also laying a solid ideological foundation for the realization of the Chinese dream.The new generation of migrant workers is a special social group under the special household registration system in China,which is a unique social phenomenon in contemporary China.The existence of the two yuan economic system in urban and rural areas is the root cause of the unequal status of the migrant workers,and thus makes them the "urban fringe",in an embarrassing situation which does not want to return to the countryside and not be accepted by the city.By the end of 2016,there were 140 million new generation of migrant workers in our country.Such huge figures indicate that the new generation of migrant workers has been the focus of solving the "three rural issues" and urbanization problems,and their awareness of citizenship has been gaining more and more attention.A correct view of the social status of the new generation of migrant workers,the cultivation of citizenship consciousness of the new generation of migrant workers,and clearing up obstacles for the future development of the new generation of migrant workers are not only conducive to the realization of their own rights and interests,but also to the stability,development and progress of Chinese society.In order to improve the civic awareness of the new generation of migrant workers,this paper has adopted a questionnaire survey,literature review,interdisciplinary research and other research methods.Through the investigation,the new generation of migrant workers have made progress in the basic citizens' common sense,the awakening of the legal consciousness,the enhancement of social responsibility,the pure nature and the strong ability to make up.The main reasons for these adverse aspects are imperfect political system,biased public opinion,lack of civic awareness education and the influence of traditional decadent culture.In view of the reasons for the problems,this article starts with four aspects: government,education,society and culture: government,the rule of law,the reform of the household registration system;the social aspect,the role of the community,the trade union and the social strength;the role of the family,the school and the teachers in education;and the cultural aspect,to strengthen the transmission.Unified culture learning,promote grass-roots cultural construction,and occupy the network position.This article hopes to effectively enhance the level of civic awareness of the new generation of migrant workers through the above measures.
