Risk Amplification And Emergency Response

In the process of China’ s modernization,risk has become an increasingly important research topic.Among the various types of risks,we can see that the government is still unable to cope with human-caused accidents and disasters.The emergence of social media has indeed caused pressure on the government,but it also provides more opportunities and possibilities for the government’s emergency response.Relying on the social amplification of risk frame and the complex adaptive system,the Tianjin Harbor explosion and the Gulei PX explosion are used as cases to explore the whole process of the crisis event’s amplification in social media,and then put forward the strategy of the government’s emergency response.First of all,this paper studies the theoretical results of social amplification under social media and locks up the research in this article as a sudden crisis event in the context of Weibo.Based on the theory of complex adaptive systems,this paper proposes two core aspects of this paper.What are the risk amplification stations during a crisis?How do these risk amplification stations interact?Secondly,according to the process of risk amplification,combing the Tianjin Harbour explosion and the Gulei PX explosion,using content analysis methods to identify the main risk amplification stations and risk elements,and clarify the resulting“stigma" and the effect and the comparative analysis of the two cases led to the main conclusion of this paper.After the outbreak of a crisis,news media,self-media,government affairs micro blog,and central media played a role in the risk amplification station in the social media.The amount of traditional media information will affect the amount of information in social media.There is also an interactive relationship among various amplification stations in social media.For example,when the amount of government micro blog information is low,the amount of information in the central media is relatively high.Finally,based on the above conclusions,using complex adaptive theory analysis to demonstrate the interaction process between different risk amplification stations,put forward policy recommendations for emergency response,the government should open its own information,which is conducive to the public to obtain the correct information;Also,an information coordination mechanism should be established to break the situation of internal and external islands in government information.For the people,we should pay attention to the methods of emergency response and achieve effective communication.
