On The Disputes Settlement Mechanism Of United Nations Convention On The Law Of Sea

With the continuous development of the oceanic exploitation,the international oceanic competition tends to be more and more firece,ending up with complicated oceanic issues.All the countries have established their own oceanic system to protect their national and marine rights.The most authoritative one is named United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea,which plays an important role all around the world and helps countries defend their marine rights.What's more,the complementation of The United Nations Convention on the Law marked a big progress in the international oceanic orders.The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea not only refers to the resolution of the classic oceanic conflicts,but also mentions a series of new innovative resolution for the oceanic issues.Nowadays,every country might be involved in the oceanic conflicts with closer connections and cooperation.It is important to explore a friendly and harmonious resolution of the oceanic disputes with the continuously increasing oceanic issues happened in recent years between China and neighbouring countries.This paper will discuss and analyze the oceanic disputes and resolutions based on The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea,which helps solve the oceanic conflicts,develop the oceanic system,motivate the peaceful status,improve our international standing and protect our oceanic rights.The paper consists of six parts.The first chapter introduces both researching background?value?aim and purpose briefly;The second part introduces the development of the disputes settlement mechanism;The third chapter introduces the main rules of the conflict settlement mechanism in The United Nations Convention on the Law of Sea;The fourth chapter analyzes the features and limitations of the mechanism.In the last part of the essay,some improvement advises on the conflict settlement are put forward according to the practical experience of relevant precedents.China should take advantage of the regulations of The United Nations Convention on the Law of Sea smartly with the consideration of the disputes peaceful settlement principle.At the same time we still need to evaluate the previous lesson from other states.What is more,China should also try its best to gain the support from the international community and defend its marine interest at the most.
