Research On The Modern Transformation Of Chinese Traditional Public Morality

The creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese traditional culture are the only way for the continuation and development of national culture.As the core content of the national culture,the traditional morality should also follow the requirements of the times to carry out modern transformation.And with the division of public and private life,moral increasingly divided into public morality and private virtue.So the traditional moral system no longer adapts to the new social structure.Its regulating ability is weakened,which accompanied by a series of moral problems.This research is based on the division of the public morality and private virtue,identify the public content of the traditional morality,eliminate its feudal hierarchy ideology,inject new era value idea,realize its modern transformation,and help the construction of socialist public morality.This paper is divided into five parts to make a comprehensive and thorough explanation about the modern transformation of the traditional public morality.Firslyt,on the basis of defining the concept of public morality and private virtue,this paper combs the traditional public morality,to explore its basic characteristics and development trend,and explain each item of it.Secondly,it analyzes the necessity and feasibility of the modern transformation of traditional public morality.The former is carried out in three aspects:the need of traditional moral transformation,conflicts between old and new moral ideas,and the excessive extension of private virtue in the field of social morality;the latter is an analysis of theoretical basis of transformation,from the development of ethics itself,the sinicization of marxist ethics and the integration of world civilization.Thirdly,this part puts forward the factors to be noticed in the transformation of traditional public morality,specifies the demands of the modern society for the traditional social morality,and clarifies the evolution of the concept of public morality,to make the modern transformation of the traditional morality more confirm to the requirements of the reality and the theory of law of development.Fourth,the succession of traditional morality and modern transformationof academic structure,from the transformation principle,the specific methods and content of the inheritance and criticism,and from traditional ethics connotation to the transformation of modern ethics requirements.Finally,it is the practical path of the modern transformation of traditional public morality.The traditional morality transformation should regard the “Democracy and the Rule of Law” as the value standard,serve for the people,base on the principles of collectivism,rely on the China story for communication,take the socialist core values as the carrier,integrate world culture to refactor,finally realizes its conversion.
