The Research Of The Construction Of The Dorm Culture Of The College Students

With the enlargement of the higher-education enrollment scale in the Chinese mainland, more and more students study in colleges and universities and live in the college dormitory. Due to the reform of the college study appraisal system and the deployment of the credit system, students in the same dormitory do not attend classes together any longer. It is common that college students living in the same dormitory attend different classes or learn different lessons, or that learn the same lesson in different classes. During the development process of the college dormitory, the college dormitory infrastructures are improving constantly and the network covers the whole campus, which provides college students with a comfortable accommodation environment and comprehensive living devices. With the promotion of relevant departments, the college dormitory has realized standardization and unification.However, in this process, various problems occurs, for example, problems on the physical environment construction, dormitory management system, spiritual culture construction, code of conduct, ideological and political education, to name just a few. In terms of space, the college dormitory refers to the area where college students live,including both a single dormitory and the facilities and surrounding environment within the area. In terms of the construction main body, college students are the mainstream.Meanwhile, participation and cooperation of personnel in the logistics department, and leaders and teachers of various schools and departments are required. In terms of construction contents, the four aspects are covered, including the material culture,spiritual culture, system culture, and behavior culture. The purpose is to optimize the hard and soft education environment of within the dormitory, to form a good atmosphere for helping students grow up healthy and sound, to build a platform for ideological and political education, and to promote college students’ all-round development, finally realizing the function of cultural education.The college dormitory is not only a place where college students can learn,entertain, and rest, but also functions an important field for conducting ideological and cultural education. In this case, it can be summarized as college students’ "first society", "second family", and "second classroom". The college dormitory culture, as a branch of the campus culture, is the carrier of school spiritual civilization construction and ideological and political education. College dormitory culture construction is a keychannel for conducting non-intelligence education such as ideological education and psychological services for college students. How to build the physical environment and soft environment of the college dormitory and to optimize management services of the college dormitory becomes an important task during college dormitory culture construction. In addition, during college dormitory culture construction how to achieve the purpose of culture education, to promote culture-leading college students’ thoughts,and to use college dormitory culture as an important carrier for ideological and political education in colleges and universities is key to studying college dormitory culture construction.This document investigates the status quo of college dormitory culture and promptly identifies ideological issues of college students by means of literature reading,questionnaires, field visits, individual interviews. On this basis, this document further explores the way to build college students dormitory culture and the approach to strengthen ideological and political education.
