The village is the basic place for the vast majority of farmers' production, life and cultural activities, and it is also the main source of agricultural output in China. With the rapid development of industrialization, urbanization and agricultural modernization, the rural society, which is the gathering unit of the village, is undergoing unprecedented changes. this change has its positive side, such as a significant increase of farmers' income and living standards improve, its negative influence is also obvious: Village rapidly reducing the number of, part of the village, and the bearing of traditional customs and rural value facing the end of. Located at the intersection of the city, the geographical position is superior, relying on the village close contact with the city, most of them have achieved a smooth transition from rural communities to urban communities. However, more remote rural areas away from the city is not the development of prosperity and development but shrinking and depression, some villages and even facing the fate of the end. The research of this paper has a certain practical significance to explore the development road of the traditional agricultural village far away from the city, and to avoid the end of the road.In this paper, the traditional agricultural village in Northern Jiangsu Province as a case study to study the process of urbanization in the process of village changes in the performance of the reasons for its decline and the impact of its decline.
