First, the study explores the psychological construct of youth experiences in physical education, validates further the psychometric properties of the construct to develop the Chinese Youth Experience Survey for Sport, and then examines the relationship between motivational climate, perceived physical competence and the youth experiences in physical education.The theories and the research progress in this field were obtained through comprehending the literature reviews. We invite a panel of psychological experts to discusses preliminary survey. Participants are 926 students in Grade 5,6,7,8,10 and 11 from eight schools of the Northeast, among which two are primary schools, four are junior schools and two are senior schools, who completed the Chinese Youth Experience Survey for sport, Motivational Climate Scale for Youth Sports and Perceived Physical Competence Scale.The findings are as follows:First, positive youth experiences for sport are composed of initiative, cognitive skills, social norms, relationship. And negative experiences are composed of negative influence and social exclusion. Finally, the psychometric properties of the the Chinese Youth Experience Survey for sport are verified.Second, the higher level of the Mastery-oriented climate the teacher creates, the more initiative and social norms experiences and the less negative influence and social exclusion the students will get, no matter what level he/she perceived physical competence.Third, when the teacher creates ego-oriented environment, the students who perceived high physical competence will get more relationship experience but suffer less social exclusion.Finally, the students who percieved low physical competence in ego-oriented environment will not get any positve experience and suffer much negative experiences.
