Contrastive Study On The Offense And Defense Ability Of Guangdong And Beijing In CBA 2014-2015 Season Semi-finals

Chinese Basketball Association(CBA) is the highest level of professional basketball tournament in China, since the implementation of professional league in 1995, it has transported a large number of high level talents for national teams.In the 20 years history of the league, the Guangdong team has won the championship 8 times, is a veteran team of CBA. The CBA 2014-2015 season has been successfully concluded,Beijing men's basketball team beat Guangdong team in the semi-finals again by 3:1, Guangdong team lost out to the Beijing team for two consecutive years in the semi-final and missed the finals. In this paper, it surveys and statistics the offensive and defensive ability of the two teams in the semi final with documentary, video observation, mathematical statistics, contrastive analysis and logical analysis etc. To find the differences in offensive and defensive ability between Guangdong and Beijing by contrasting and investigating the offensive and defensive ability. And then put forward scientific and reasonable suggestions according to the existing characteristics of the Guangdong team.To provide a theoretical basis to improve the overall level of the Guangdong team and provide beneficial reference of selection, training and competition for Chinese men's basketball team in the future.The results of this research indicate:1.The average age of the Guangdong men's basketball team is lower than the average age of Beijing, the average age of the two teams are both in the golden age of basketball player, and the average height of the two teams is almost the same, but Guangdong team's rebound is more outstanding.The average weight of the Beijing team has more advantages, the skilled movement can exert better after body confrontation, weight advantage is also reflected on the Quetelet index, the Beijing team's defensive ability is higher than the Guangdong team's.2.In the offensive capabilities respect, Guangdong team's field goal percentage, three-point shot percentage and free throw percentage has a gap with the Beijing team. Concretely,the ability of ball-passing is poor, and secondary attack ability is worse than the Beijing team,although the rebounds has advantage, but due to the field goal percentage is low,it can not be converted more to score. The general situation of control errors of Guangdong is better than Beijing, but there are some mistakes in the critical moment.3.In terms of defense, the Guangdong team's lost piont rate is higher than that of Beijing, Beijing's ability of relying on the teamwork to grab the back court rebounds is better than Guangdong, besides,Guangdong's back court rebounds is too much depend on Yi Jianlian. The Guangdong team's consciousness of steals is poor, and theirconsciousness and ability of block shots is not as good as Beijing.4.There is a gap in the offense and defense tactics with Beijing,Guangdong's attack is more dependent on personal capacity, the team lacks consciousness of help-defending and filling-in when defense,their success-rate of the half court man-to-man defense is not high;Guangdong's tactical layout of key ball is relatively simple, and the implementation capacity of clutch shots is poor.
