Modern information technology has been extensively used in military, medical treatment, transportation because of its convenient, quick, unlimited in time and space, analog and other characteristics. In recent years, the application of modern information technology in education teaching has been widely concerned. Chemistry is a microscopic, abstract, experimental based natural science, and it combines with modern information technology making microcosmic knowledge macroscopic, making abstract knowledge visualization, making dangerous experiment safety etc. Therefore, the integration of modern information technology into chemistry teaching has become more important. From the practical condition of chemical teaching in Henan province, the paper discusses method and strategy the integration of modern information technology into chemistry teaching.Firstly, the conditions of hardware equipment, software using and concept cognition in modern information technology teaching in Henan province are known through questionnaire and interview. The statistics show 95% of schools have multi-media classrooms, 69.4% of schools have campus network, and 72.1% of teachers learn some modern information technology courses. These provide facility and technology support for the application of modern information technology in chemistry teaching. Secondly, most interviewees praise the aided teaching effect of modern information technology, but they have no too much understanding and thinking how to auxiliary, so the application of modern information technology in teaching is still in primary stage.Secondly, the strategy for the integration of modern information technology into chemistry teaching are researched from the perspectives of concepts, technologies and contents. Modern information technology plays different roles in different teaching contents, so different teaching contents should adopt different teaching methods. Virtual experiment and animation are used in toxic, flammable and explosive chemistry experiment and molecular reaction mechanism, material space structure of microscopic knowledge teaching. It gets good teaching effect, which can bring sound, light, color and multiple sensory stimulation to the experimenter, making microcosmic knowledge macroscopic and plane knowledge three-dimensional. We use charts, videos and pictures in the high systematic and theoretical knowledge, which plays a supporting role of the supplement and intensification. Technical training, subject research and competitions are useful in improving teachers' concept and technical level. Establishing chemical database to reduce the difficulty of using modern information technology teaching for teachers, it is beneficial for the integration of modern information technology into teaching.Thirdly, we design experiment teaching case "the nature of carbon monoxide" with using virtual experiment software developed by NOBOOK. It simulates the real scene, brings multidimensional stimulus and has better interactivity, which contribute to stimulate students' interest in learning, cultivate the exploratory thinking, strengthen environmental protection consciousness. For micro knowledge teaching, we design "the mystery of material" teaching case, which use the virtual experiment and animation to simulate molecules, atoms and other microscopic particles, as well as the formation of microscopic processes of ions, making microcosmic knowledge macroscopic to help students understand and grasp.Fourthly, we choose two classes to participate in comparison teaching practice, and adopt questionnaires, interviews and other methods to appraise the teaching effectiveness. The statistics show that scores and attitude of the experimental class has improved significantly compared with the control class. The average score of experimental class improves 6.00% more than the control class of 3.65%. 83.33% of students believe modern information technology teaching make them concentrated. 79.17% of students think modern information technology teaching is more interesting. Modern information technology can make atmosphere lively and focus students' attention. In this way, chemistry knowledge is simplified, visualized and specified, students will have a better understanding of lessons, improve learning scores, and establish confidence.
