Body-Building Qigong is a national and traditional sport that adjusts the body,breath and heart-beating.It is also the fruit of the collective wisdom of the Chinese people.Currently,the promotion of Body-building Qigong mainly relies on national institutions and enterprises,which aims at public welfare.But Body-building Qigong club,as an effective carrier,can meet the needs of their own development through its operation as well as play an important role in promoting qigong.As the Body-Building Qigong club is still in its infancy,there appears a series of problems such as the coexistence of qualified and unqualified coaches,inconsistent courses in the actual management,which have serious impact on the healthy development of the clubs.Thus,it is urgent to publish a unified standard that focus on all detailed aspects of the actual operation of a club,under which all clubs in the country and the world will run.This study take Body-Building Qigong clubs as the research subject,with relevant experts and Qigong exercisers as investigation objects,investigate and analyze the functional design,coaches and courses of clubs by using the methods of searching documentaries and papers,taking survey with questionnaires.We found out that:1.In our survey,more men took the Questionnaire than women.They mainly are middle-aged and older people and most of the experts are associate professors or above;most exercisers are with junior college or above degrees.Their main purpose of participation in Qigong is to enhance the physical fitness.They are more familiar with the old exercises than the new exercises.They tend to choose clubs that are near to their residence place to exercise.2.Respondents to our survey believes that there is a bright future for the clubs;the functional departments of a club should includes physique monitoring department,teaching management department,health care department;the environment is the prior factor that exercisers will take into consideration when choosing a club.3.The net height of a club should be over 3.2m while the average exercise area should be over 5 m2.The indoor decoration should be in accordance with the national unified standard.Except with basic exercise facilities,a club should be equipped with teaching venue,personal training hall,spa hall,two emergency exits and fire control facilities.4.The coaches of a club should have a bachelor degree or above,with intermediate grade or above on Qigong.The verification and following up training of the coaches should be responsible by relevant ministries of the provinces.A coach should tutor 20 persons at one lesson.5.The charging mode of a club should be membership fee charging-based,with other charging as an additional.The content of lesson should be unified by the national standard and a lesson is advised to last 60 minutes.6.A club should be registered in the provincial sports bureau and provincial Qigong association in additional to register in the industrial and commercial department and tax department of a province.By doing so,it will facilitate the state general administration of sports to administer and plan the development of the clubs as a whole.
