English writing teaching is important in junior high school.But at present there are very big problems either in teachers' teaching or in students' learning.The teachers teach the students arduously,but only get half the result with twice the effort.The students are not interested in writing.They don't make great progress.The author manages to introduce a new approach in English writing in order to develop the students' interest in English writing and the students' ability writing,Constructivism theory was put forward in the 1960s.It emphasizes learners-centered.it thought that students are the main body of cognitive.It emphasizes the learners' active exploration to the knowledge;Take the initiative to find and construction of the meaning of knowledge actively.Constructivism theory can break the past passive learning way that teachers teach and students only listen to them,and it pays much attention to learners.It is helpful to cultivate the students' autonomous learning ability,this kind of writing teaching mode conforms to the current needs of writing teaching in Junior High School.Through the analysis of the students' writing process,the author emphasizes on the authenticity of the writing contents,emphasizes on the sociality of writing contents,and the effectiveness of the evaluation between students,between teachers and students.It's effective for the students to cultivate their interest in learning and enhance the students' learning motivation and self-confidence of improving the students' writing level.The author selected two classes in No.2 Middle School in AnShan,one is a controlled class,the other is an experimental class.The number of the students are 88 and each class has 44 students.It was conducted for sixteen months in the experimental class,while the conventional writing teaching was used in the controlled class.The experimental adopted the questionnaires and the composition test.the questionnaires are mainly about the current situation of the students' English writing and the attitudes towards English writing.In terms of the analysis of data before and after the experiment,the author found that constructivism theory is helpful to inspire students' interest in writing,strengthen their confidence in English writing;help to improve the English language fluency;and it can also help to improve the students' ability of the writing;help to promote the students' language accuracy.The research shows that the scores of the students in the experimental class are higher than those of the controlled class.Because of the limited time,it has certain limitations,it still needs further improvement.
