With the rapid development of computer technology and modern educational technology, more and more wide application of virtual reality technology, virtual reality technology more and more profound influence on the teaching of physical theory. Meanwhile, virtual reality technology matures and physics is an urgent need for reform in the teaching of virtual experiment in teaching from theory to practical application.This paper introduces the development of virtual reality, analyzed the behavior of virtual reality learning theory and learning theory of Constructivism theory based, relying on Virtools platform for virtual experiment are discussed in detail design and development process, and to select a representative of demonstration experiments in physics experiments as a virtual application. Meanwhile, focuses on applications of virtual demonstration experiments in physics teaching has made in-depth studies. On one hand, detailed the advantages of virtual experiment and characteristics, and for its high quality, convenience and fun, through embedded ways of teaching, to optimize the structure theory teaching, teaching scheme puts the theory. The other hand, introduced a virtual demonstration secon dary theory of teaching model and teaching design to "Wimshurst electrical machine" as an example, auxiliary theory describes the virtual demonstration experiment teaching of practical applications, and adopted the questionnaire on evaluation of teaching e ffect. Application effect analysis of shows that use virtual demonstration experiment teaching and helps improve the quality of teaching, to enhance students ' self-learning ability.Finally, the virtual demonstration experiments in the teaching of physica l theory in this paper summarizes the applied research, proposes further research directions.
