The Study On The Spiritual Belief Of The College Students In Guangxi

In this study,328 university students Nanning were tested using the Spiritual Belief Questionnaire for College Students, combined with in-depth interviews. The research is to investigate the state of the Spiritual Belief of College Students in Guangxi and the formation process of an individual in spiritual belief.Questionnaire outcome: ?The averages of the elements of the spiritual beliefs of Students are listed in descending order:social beliefs, practical faith and supernatural beliefs; The subsidiary factors are racialism, life worship, nationalism, familism, political belief, family worship, religion, money worship and deity worship. ?The state of spiritual beliefs show significant differences on the demographic varibles, such as gender, grade, family residence and the profession genotyping.? Significant differences exist between male and female students in religion, deity worship, nationalist beliefs, the worship of money. Compared to males, females are more prone to religious belief, deity worship nationalism and religion, males are more susceptible to money worship.?Significant differences lie in students in different grade in religion, deity worship, nationalism, nationalism and political beliefs. ? Significant differences lie in students of different types of majors in religion, deity worship, nationalism, nationalism, political belief and worship of money. Students of liberal arts are more prone to than students of science in religious beliefs and deity worship. Students of science are more likely to have political beliefs, nationalism, religion and nationalism money worship than students of liberal arts. ?Significant differences exist in permanent residence, students live in the countryside or live in the city, in deity worship, nationalism, political beliefs, worship life. Students from urban are more likely to hold deity worship than rural students. Students from rural areas are more likely to hold nationalistic beliefs, political beliefs and life-worship.Depth interviews showed:spiritual beliefs of individuals are formed and affected by major life events, individual maturity, parental education, family education, school education, leisure time, economic situation of individuals, self learning, education of rulers and social education.It comes to spiritual beliefs in school education, educators should pay attention to the characteristics of the students, the developmental viewpoint of spiritual belief, personal characteristics and individualized education, to avoid subjective assumptions, and using a variety of integrated approach in education.
