With the growth of population and house prices in Beijing, the contradiction between supply and demand in the housing market becomes more serious. Thus, a large number of migrant workers choose a new way of living- "group shared house" to solve their housing problems. In recent years, Beijing group shared house phenomenon led large-scale social conflicts, and caused concern and discussion in the whole community. Considering the group shared house phenomenon in Beijing, this study uses participant observation of qualitative research, summarizes its characteristics, types and problems. This study tries to analyze the reasons behind Beijing shared group house and to put forward specific recommendations to solve the problems.Firstly, this research explores the development of Beijing shared group house with big data and interviews and finds that different groups of tenants prefer different types of shared group house and subsequently inducing different issues. Secondly, after analyzing the reasons behind shared group house in Beijing, the study finds that except economic pressures, the most important factor is the exclusion to migrant workers in the processes of purchasing house, applying for affordable house, renting apartments. Moreover, the paper defines the different housing rights as the unequal housing rights between non-residents and residents, which rooted in the household register system and different citizenship. Finally, on the base of analysis of the different housing rights, promoting the equality of housing rights between non-residents and residents would help to solve the group shared house problem and other relative social issues in Beijing.
