The Research Of The Creative Thinking Ability Development Of The College Student

Due to great number of high-level creative talents are indispensable in the development of the knowledge-based economy, the public and higher educational institutes mainly focus on whether the university graduates are equipped with the ability of creativity. A great deal of research indicate that creative thinking is the core of creativity. Therefore, this thesis is mainly about how university students' abilities of creative thinking develop.Though collecting and analyzing many researches about creativity, creative thinking, creative thinking of university students and measurement of creative thinking, then this thesis constructs a reasonable frame of the measurement of creative thinking of university students. On this basis, the widely used measurement “Test of Creative Thinking in Typical Behavior” is adopted in this thesis. Participants investigated are 402 undergraduates enrolled in 2011 in BJUT whose enrollment in 2011 and before their graduation in 2015.Data analyzed show that it finds that there is significant difference in their creative thinking levels between two periods. Patently, the capacities of creative thinking before graduation is higher than that before enrollment. What's more, in further study of statistics, for university students with different majors, gender, hometowns and family status, it reveals that there is greater difference in different levels of dimensional development constituted by abilities of creative thinking. However, the thesis finds that the difference in associative thinking is not obvious between two periods, on the whole, the associative thinking level is a problem demanding prompt solution.From the above analysis, this research suggests that higher education should continually focus on cultivating the creative thinking of university students and pay more attention to the associative thinking cultivation.
