With the development of Internet, online sports media has gradually become one of the main carriers of sports news. With its unique features and advantages, professional sports site has occupied an important place in today's sports news dissemination. From the perspective of timeliness, professional sports site is the fastest to release sports news to users, by providing audiences with the fastest and most comprehensive competition information, and moreover from the perspective of audience feedback, professional sports site are faster than traditional sports media in collecting audience's comments and feedback. Meanwhile, professional sports site has not only changed the audience sports news acquisition mode, but also greatly enhance the user experience of the audience.Currently, internet sports media are varied into official sports web site, professional sports sites based on government and those based on commercial sites. With the deepening of web3.0, professional sports sites have developed into important sports news dissemination tasks. However, the current domestic professional sports news sites are undergoing “uneven strength”, which means professional sports sites are several major sports sites “electronic version” so that it cannot fulfil the needs of the audience for the information society of sports news. Chinese sports sites overall progress must be done in order to promote sustained sent across the network sports news media industry.Hupu and Tencent Sports are different from the other sites. The former has a strong background of portals and its own independent development model while the later has Tencent network to support it, so that it has become one of the most significant site. Now, both of them are the famous for sport news especially NBA news, which is based on their focus on site strategies. This thesis analyzed the development Hupu and Tencent Sports to study professional sport sites.From the general status of professional sports sites, the study analyzed communication strategy and readers response, by studying Hupu and Tencent Sports so as to provide advice for the improvement of Chinese professional sports sites' communication strategy.
