Heterogeneous class, a comparative educational research method, generally refers that one or more teachers make various instructional designs based on the same teaching content,which may consider students' reality, practical teaching conditions as well as teachers' own characteristics so that arranging teaching content scientifically, choosing appropriate teaching method and teaching strategies, simultaneously, creating excellent teaching and studying environment. There is no doubt, that the specific teaching procedures should be one of the most important parts in heterogeneous class activities, as it needs to apply to the teaching system and teaching problem solution, which always viewed as a basic guarantee for successful classroom teaching as well as high qualified and efficient class learning.Under the overall background of the continuous deepening reform and development on elementary educational curriculum in our country, to optimize senior English teaching design and improve the efficiency and quality of senior English teaching instruction appears to be more significant than ever before.Based on the constructivism theory, this thesis tends to analyze the specific application of three different kinds of constructivist teaching design models in senior English from the perspective of heterogeneous classes, which starts form the aspects of educational idea and the exchanges of specific teaching environment, teaching requirement as well as teaching objects. The research methods adopted in the study are heterogeneous classroom observation,case study, questionnaire, and interview survey. It attempts to promote senior English teachers to update their educational concept, improve the traditional teaching designs, which are always focused on the teachers, the classes, even the teaching materials, and then make students participate in teaching process more actively. Therefore, it cannot only reflect teachers' leading functions, but also the students' dominant position, simultaneously,provides the reference for high school English teaching design.
