Science education is one of the important contents of kindergarten education,and all countries in the world attach great importance to science education.For a long time,there are a lot of research about formal science activities,which was organized by teachers.For child-centered informal science research are less.Based on this,the author carried out a survey of the current situation of informal science education of kindergartens.The research adopts literature method,interview method,case analysis method,and nature observation.One of Chinese and one of Norwegian kindergartens were investigated,observed and recorded,including the kindergarten informal science education environment,material delivery,activities,relationship between teachers and children.Research try to tease out the informal science education situation,type of informal science education activities and provide support and help to carry out informal science education in kindergartens.The results show that in the scientific activities of the kindergartens,the proportion of informal science activities is 89%while formal scientific activities is 11%.In informal science activities,59%was organized by teachers and 30%was initiated by children accidentally.The informal science activities in Norway kindergarten mainly occur in the outdoors,and in China the indoors.The main research findings are as follows:Firstly,make full use of the infrmal scientific environment to promote children's scientific learning;Secondly,to capture the opportunity of informal scientific activities through observing,listening and to understand children.
