The Innovation Of University Ecological Civilization Education Research

Report to the 18^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China creatively summed up the overall pattern of socialist construction as an endeavor combining promoting economic,political,cultural,social,and ecological progress;and pointed out that ecological civilization construction should guide and be integrate into socialist construction.This indicates that China has entered into a new era of ecological civilization,and embarked on the great historical journey of building beautiful China.The ecological civilization education in colleges and universities is the key part and the foundation of ecological civilization construction for it can provide sufficient human resources and intellectual preparation;promote the popularization of ecological culture in society;and advance the ecological transformation of economic and social development.Therefore,ecological civilization education in colleges and universities is not only a major part of to integrate ecological civilization into the higher education;but also an initiative to implement the national strategy,a realistic demand to achieve the fundamental task of ideological and political theories course in higher institution.With the research method of quantitative research,this paper,based on the multivariate stratified sampling,carries out a self-administered questionnaire survey using revised Chinese New Environmental Paradigm Scale to collect data.It contains four parts.The first part is the introduction which introduces the background information,literature review,research methods and research innovations.The second part illustrates the contents,objectives and significance of the ecological civilization education in colleges and universities.The third part analyzes the current situation of ecological civilization education in colleges and universities.It introduces the research method of questionnaire survey,its results and cause analysis;and demonstrates the analysis from six aspects—demographic information,environmental awareness,willingness to contribute to environmental protection,daily environmentalprotection action,environmental knowledge level and existing environmental problems.The fourth part points out the new path for ecological civilization education from four perspectives: higher education reform,employing online new media to perfect ecological civilization education in colleges and universities,enhancing construction of college environmental protection societies,and setting up green universities as the platform.Colleges and universities are the main position to carry forward the ecological civilization while college teachers and students are the communicators and main force of ecological civilization construction.Xi Jinping,general secretary of Communist Party of China,stressed on the National Ideological and Political Work Conference once again that the purpose of higher education is “morality cultivation”.Ecological ethics,as the most-talked-about modern moral content.Therefore,the innovation of ecological civilization education in colleges and universities and the establishment of ecological civilization education system fitting into the time,especially in the context of a network era,can promote the ecological development of higher education.
