| Cognitive interview technique as a kind of method reveal individual problem solving thinking process by thinking aloud and verbal probing.The cognitive interview model mainly includes four stages:Problem representation,Strategy use,Selt-Monitoring and Explanation.Cognitive interview is highly regarded by western educational researchers because of their emphasis on cognitive dimension,while it is still very scarcely introduced to the study of specific disciplinary analysis.In this cognitive interview study,We take Mendel’s genetic law knowledge as an example.By interviewing the 8 sample students in Shanghai M Middle School,then we found:(1)Cognitive interviews can reflect students’ mastery of knowledge better than single scores,Different students have different cognitive processes.(2)Cognitive interview can reveal the difficulties in the process of solving problems.The reasons for the failure of the students’ problem solving may be the problem representation failue. the lack of problem-solving strategies or the inability to reflect on the problem solving process.(3)The cognitive process of the students to solve practical problems expected and teachers are not exactly the same,there is a big difference between the different levels of students’ cognitive process to solve problems,teachers’ expected on students’ learning situation analysis may not be reliable.(4)According to the results of cognitive interviews,personalized cognitive interviews can be formed.(5)Compared with the general situation analysis,the cognitive interview analysis has obvious advantages on the basis of theory,the method of operation and the resultsIn this study,the Cognitive Interview is introduced to analysis the senior high school students’learning situation,which provides a new perspective and method for the front-line teachers to analyze the students’ learning situation and divers the evaluation methods. |
