Research On Influential Facotors Of Demolition Conflicts During Rapid Urbanization

Since China's reform and openning up,urbanization is entering a rapid developing period. Especially after 1996,the urbanization speeds up from 30% to 70%. Within only 30 years, China has completed the urbanization process which would have taken 100 years in many other countries. So we can say,Chinese urbanization is a process finished in a extremely short and highly concentrated space which invloved the largest population and most complex content. The rapid implementation and continious urbanization accompanied continious increase of urban population,city expansion and improvement of city function. The manifestation of this process is removal and reconstruction,which would arouse a series of conflicts. Smooth implementation and construction of a homonious sociaty is thus badly influenced.This thesis is based on the connotation and thery of demolition conflict, adopting game theory to analyze the gaming relationships, so as to reflect the game actions and influencial factors between different stakeholders. The result shows that the householders play a key role in the game, and the conflicts occured directly related to their choice of action. This paper builds a conceptual model of influencial factors on demolition conflicts base on interview and questionnaire survey during field research as well as relevant psychology and sociology theories. After empirical analysis on those influencial factors by using structural equation modeling, the research finds that there are four main influencial factors:satisfaction of stakeholders, attention on demolition, sense of regulation and concern of risks. Combining the research result and and practice, the anthor further raises relevant advices on pefecting regulations on demolition, setting reasonable compensation scheme, polishing demolition procedures, improving social guarantee system and establishing effective conflict reacting system.
