| This study aimed to explore the story structure construction process and the effects of story structure instruction to senior group’s reading comprehension.An experimental was be used in this study.A sample of 48 senior group children participated in this study.The experimental group and the control group were random selected.The experimental group were 26 children,and the control group were 22 children.The experimental group received story structure instruction for 6 times.All subjects received the pretest and posttest of reading comprehension.Using SPSS 20.0 statistical analysis of relevant data,this study have the following conclusions:1.The progress of story structure instruction included elements of story structure,guided reading,analysis of story structure,interaction among peers,story house mapping.2.The story structure instruction have helped senior group children to build up their understanding of story structure elements,familiarize with stories,and experience of the role’s emotions.3.The story structure instruction can enhance senior group’s reading comprehension.4.The story structure instruction to senior group has gender differences in their story content understanding.Based on findings,pedagogical implication and suggestions for future studies were provided. |
