The Development And Application Of Small Science Museum Based On Augmented Reality

Small science museum is an informal institution for science education,majorly refers to the place that mainly in school or educational institutions,the place is used for some special education or carrying out some thematic activities based on the theme.In traditional small science museum,exhibits content is single,limited and unable to update dynamically,visitors' experience model is single.Applying Augmented Reality(AR)technology to small science museum,it will not only enhance visitors' interest and interaction of visiting and studying,but also broaden the channels of science education resources acquisition.This paper explored how to integrate AR into the development and application of small science museum,the specific research includes the following aspects:1.Explore the research and application situation of small science museum,collect the classic cases of science and technology museum based on AR at home and abroad,and summarize a number of the application way of AR in small science museum.2.Analyze how to effectively integrate AR into physical place in small science museum,summarize the design principles and development model of small science museum based on AR.3.Aim at the earthquake museum and the fire museum of Xiangcheng experimental high school to make case study,design and develop AR science popularization system of earthquake museum based on interaction mode and AR science popularization system of fire museum based on collaborative mode,then preliminary apply and evaluate these systems.The case study shows that AR can solve the problem of single display method and the lack of interaction experience to some extent in small science museum,make visitors learn more abundant scientific knowledge in limited exhibition hall space,and can stimulate visitors' interest in studying scientific knowledge,moreover,it also can make the scientific knowledge easy to be understood and used.The research of this paper provides the certain theoretical and practical reference for expanding the development mode and application mode of small science museum.
