Nowadays,under the influence of grammar teaching,there are some problems existing in English learning.First of all,students are lack of the initiative of learning.Second,students' English listening and writing abilities need to be improved urgently.Third,students' comprehensive competence of using English can not meet the needs of social development especially its longing for integrated talents.In order to solve these problems,the researcher combines the dictogloss teaching method with the Internet to form a new teaching model called “Internet + dictogloss”.As for dictogloss,it requires that students should figure out the main idea of the material for dictation at first,and then note down key words and phrases,later discuss in groups to reconstruct what they have listened to.And the four skills,listening,speaking,reading and writing are all taken into consideration in the dictogloss activity.Meanwhile,the internet can help students learn English whenever they want to use their time fragment.With the theoretical foundation of input and output theory,the researcher integrates the internet and dictogloss to build a new teaching model,“Internet + dictogloss” with the expectation that it can improve students' learning initiative,listening and writing abilities as well as comprehensive ability of using English.For the before-class stage,teachers provide students with relevant learning resources in line with teaching objectives while students search for relevant background knowledge and language knowledge by surfing the internet which means getting more language input.And later,students finish online dictation.For the in-class stage,teachers divide students into different groups and ask them to discuss in group to finish reconstructing things they have just listened to while students hand in their dictation through QQ.In order to solve the problems emerging in this stage,communications should be made between teachers and students online.For the after-class stage,students do more extensive writing as to improve writing ability while teachers make evaluations of the whole teaching process and also some adjustments if necessary to better meet the students' learning needs.In order to examine the effectiveness of the new model,the researcher chooses the students of two classes majoring in five year pre-school education majors in XinyangVocational and Technical College as research subjects to carry out the research.After taking part in the pre-test,one class is set as the experimental class and the other as the control class.The research lasts for one semester.And the post-test is carried out at the end of the semester.After the data being collected from all the tests,Statistical Package of Social Sciences(SPSS)20.0 is adopted to analyze them.Meanwhile,questionnaire is also used to find out the students' attitudes towards the new mode.With all the data of the research analyzed,some conclusions can be reached.Firstly,the students' autonomous learning ability has been improved.Secondly,the students' listening competence and writing proficiency have been promoted.Thirdly,the students' comprehensive ability of using English has been improved with the help of this new model.
