| The cultivation of core competencies of students is the theme of China’s current discipline of chemistry curriculum,which is also a hot spot of domestic and international research.The thinking ability in Chemistry Model is the main part of core chemical competencies,theoretical and practical chemistry learning has theoretical and practical value for the practice of chemistry curriculum.The study is based on three kinds of theories:modeling theory;triple representation theory;information processing theory by which the thinking ability in chemistry model is built.According to the study on the thinking ability in Chemistry Model of the former scientists,the writer establish a structure model of the ability of students’ thinking ability in Chemistry Model,design a questionnaire for testing the thinking ability in chemistry model,conduct the practical study on Junior School students’ thinking ability in Chemistry Model,and draw the following conclusions:1.On the research for the theory of the thinking ability in Chemistry Model(1)Modify the former definition of the Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model:In the situation of chemical problems,the thinking ability in chemistry model to transfer the model representation to language information representation(macroscopic,microcosmic and symbol representation).(2)Combine a model of the thinking ability in chemistry model,and try to establish the model made up with two degree on the 1st dimension and six degree on the 2nd dimension.(3)Put forward to the mechanism of forming with two degree on the 1st dimension and six degree on the 2nd dimension,which became the the strategy theory basis for the students’ forming the Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model.(4)According to the Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model and the theory of cognitive psychology,design a questionnaire for testing the Students’ Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model and analysis the students’ Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model and the influence factors.2.The practical research on the junior high school students’ Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model and the influence factors:Explore the Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model of 431 students in Junior Middle school(Chinese school)in Y City by the questionnaire for testing the Students’ Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model method,talking method and classroom observation method.The following are the conclusions:(1)the Thinking Ability in Chemistry ModelThe general level of the students’ Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model is not high,and the level of the boys is a little higher than that of the girls.1)The application ability in model:165 students have got to level 3 which is 38.28%of the tested;207 students have got to level 2 which is 48.03%of the tested;59 students are below level 1 which is 13.19%.There are some differences among the schools but it is not obvious.Among the three dimensions,the ability in model to microcosmic representation>the ability in model to symbols>the ability in model to macroscopic represeLtation.the proportion of these three 2nd dimension who got to level 3 is 41.07%、38.52%、35.27%.2)The ability for building models:127 students have got to level 1 which is 29.47%of the tested;208 students have got to level 2 which is 48.26%of the tested;96 students are lower than level 1,which is 22.27%.There are some differences among schools but it is not obvious.Among the three dimensions for building models,the ability from model microcosmic representation building models>the ability from macroscopic representation building models>the ability from symbol representation building.The proportion of these three 2nd dimension who got to level 3 is 30.63%、29.70%、27.38%.(2)The influence factors:There are inner reasons as well as outer reasons for the result of the Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model.1)The inner reasons:the loss of subjects emotion,language information,obstacle of leaning strategies,intelligence skill is the obstacle for ability development,esp.Among them,the obstacle of learning strategies and intelligence skill have the greatest impact.2)The Outer reasons:teaching methods,teaching ways,teaching thinking and the needed resources for Model Teaching.(3)Put forward the strategies based on the influence factors.According to the forming theory of Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model,combing the influence factors of the tested students in the study,propose the following strategies:1)The teachers should get more familiar with the importance of the Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model in the chemical cultivation of core competencies,and pay more attention to the abilities forming of the students’ Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model.2)Pay more attention to develop the students’ learning strategies and methods,that is,the general scientific method which is also including chemical learning method and the building model method.3)Design the related model teaching strategies and teaching method based on the observation to the students’ level of Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model and obstacles.4)Develop and use the physical models,chemical model teaching resources to reflect the structure of matters’ media materials.3.About the discuss on the studyIn the study of the Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model building and the questionnaire for testing the Students’ Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model,not only does the writer confirm the study assumption,but he also find out some questions to continue:① For the same dimension of chemical model thinking,the result of the study is almost the same with others’ which is also a supporting idea for this one.② The result of the study has been introduces to the tested teachers,and it is a practical reference for their teaching.③The forming theory of the chemical model thinking ability study based on different moles need studying more.④The model of chemical model thinking ability of the study and the questionnaire of the Students’ Thinking Ability in Chemistry Model require further study and practice to improve,and more discussion. |
