Teachers are the key to the realization of the complex social system project of science education reform.Thus we must make high-quality science professional development(PD)available to all teachers to meet the challenges from this reform.however,there is no research for science teachers' PD,this paper will analyze the science and arts teachers in order to find some effective ways for science teachers.This study adopting the methods of questionnaire and interview selects some teachers in primary and secondary school as the research object in order to investigate the teachers'PD.This article mainly discusses autonomy,leadership and social influence.Based on the results,we will find some new ways for science teachers' PD.The finding shows that there are some problems in science teachers' PD.The teachers'autonomy aspect is lacking in independent consciousness and ability,limited by the traditional educational system;Teachers' leadership pays little attention to the aspects of teaching and peer learning;As for social influence,it is still necessary to further improve the teachers' social status,professional influence and social service ability.In a word,there is still a lot of room for the improvement of teachers' PD.In order to promote science teachers' PD,researchers think they can from the following several aspects:The promotion of teachers' autonomy is the premise of teachers'PD.Teachers should establish self-awareness and strive to improve their,teaching ability;the key is the increase of teachers' leadership.Teachers' empowerment makes science teachers gain greater space for development,promote the further development of themselves and the group;the enlargement of teachers' social influence is the substantial results.Let Teachers go out of the school to participate in more activities.It exerts its influence,helps them realize their life value and social value and makes their PD more mature.
