In 2001,the Ministry of Education issued new English Curriculum Standard.In this standard,it is definitely said that “advocating Task-based learning teaching.Let students achieve task goals and experience success through experiencing,practicing,participating,cooperating with the direction of teachers.During the learning process,students should adjust their emotion and strategy to form positive attitude,this can promote communicate language ability.” TBLT appeared in China in the 1980 s,from then on,the scholars of our country started to study it and never stop.So student' role has completely changed:from a passive knowledge receiver to an active participant in learning,a monitor of his own learning and an inquirer into knowledge.In this instance,TBLT has challenged the single role of information conveyor the teacher has been playing for a long time.He has to play many roles simultaneously such as a learning planner and organizer,a supplier of learning materials,a model of the target language performance,a coordinator of activities,a guide and facilitator of learning and an evaluator a feedback provider,which calls for a much higher comprehensive quality of a teacher.This thesis mainly explores and experiments the above questions.First,summarize the researches of TBLT at home and abroad by Literature Review.Second,analyze the situation of foreign language teaching in the countryside.Third,put some Middle schools into experiment.Finally,get the conclusion by testing,and then find out the problems during the implementation process of TBLT in the countryside.In the last part of the thesis,some suggestions have been provided for English teachers,hoping it will be guidance for the future implementation of TBLT.
