For the size of the dihedral angle is one of the compulsory examination questions in solid geometry.Method for solving the dihedral angle can be roughly divided into two kinds.One is the definition method,the other is the vector method.The two methods have different requirements for students’ abilities,The former requires students to have a better visual imagination and logical reasoning ability,while the latter requires students to have a good mathematical ability.The students have different difficulties when use the two methods.This study was conducted with 288 students in seven classes,at the moment,I interviewed some teachers and students to investigate the difficulties when students learn the dihedral angle and the cause of these trouble.The research findings because of the students have poor mastery of the relevant concepts,poor problem-solving habits,poor visual imagination,lack of logical reasoning ability and poor ability of mathematical operation and so on,the students will feel difficult when solve the normal vector and judge the relationship between the dihedral and the included angle of the normal vector and find the plane angle of the dihedral angle.And different gender have different difficulties when study dihedral angle.According to the above research results,I put forward the teaching suggestion from two aspects.One side is to strengthen the knowledge of students,the other side is to develop students’ mathematics accomplishment.Including: Strengthen the understanding of the concept of dihedral angle and judging the relationship between the dihedral and the included angle of the normal vector by rule and line.Strengthen the students’ spatial imagination and improve students’ mathematical ability and strengthen students’ logical reasoning ability...
