Although the number of Asian American women has been increasing,attention to them is not enough.They tend to be ignored in Women's Studies as well as Asian American's Studies.Asian American women have to face multiple pressures resulting from race,gender and ethnicity.They fight against various injustice in various ways.Adopting the real history method,this thesis plans to analyze how National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum-one of the most representative and influential Asian American women organization fights against injustice related to immigration rights and empower themselves and influence others through the weapon of storytelling.By analyzing the stories NAPAWF shared with us from the perspective of atmosphere,tone,video and wording,in combination with the status quo of Asian American's reproductive justice,the thesis finds out that NAPAWF creates storytelling in an approachable,peaceful and calm way to empower themselves and the audience and can even bring about social changes.In addition,NAPAWF's way to do storytelling is also a reflection of their empowered self. |
