Objectives: This research is aimed to observe different intensity exercise's energy consumption characteristics in cold environment,then afford some basic theory to winter athletes' training monitoring and nutritional supplement.It can also provide theoretical support to ordinary winter-sports lovers.Methods: Ten trained male students from Beijing Sport University were chosen.Cross-over study which contained three specific periods is designed,subjects are asked to rest or run on the treadmill at 65%VO2max or 80%VO2max intensity for 20 minutes.Fixed gas metabolic instrument is used to analysis the gas,finger blood and vein blood are obtained before and after tests,biochemical indexes are measured.There are VO2 max tests before formal tests to calculate the corresponding speed.Each test starts after 2 hours resting after the breakfast,there is one week between two tests.Results:(1)When the ambient temperature is 12 ? : Carbohydrate utilization ratio is near to the fat utilization ratio during the rest.When the exercise intensity is 65%VO2max,carbohydrate utilization ratio is higher than the fat utilization ratio.When the exercise intensity is 80%VO2max,carbohydrate utilization ratio is near to 90%.Among resting,65%VO2max and 80%VO2max intensity exercise,carbohydrate consumption and total consumption are highest during the 80%VO2max intensity exercise,fat consumption is highest during the 65%VO2max intensity exercise.(2)Blood lactic acid level is significantly higher after the 20 minutes 80%VO2max intensity exercise than before.Compare to resting,blood glucose level after the 65%VO2max intensity exercise is significantly different.Compare to the time after resting,serum FFA level after 65%VO2max and 80%VO2 intensity exercise increased significantly.Compare to the time before exercise,serum FFA level after 65%VO2max and 80%VO2 intensity exercise increased significantly.(3)Resting in 12? ambient temperature for 20 minutes,serum insulin and glucagon levels dropped significantly,especially the insulin,adiponectin level elevated significantly.Compare to the 65%VO2max intensity exercise,serum catecholamine?insulin and leptin levels after 80%VO2max intensity exercise are significantly different.Conclusion:(1)When the ambient temperature is 12 ? : Carbohydrate utilization ratio is near to the fat utilization ratio during the rest.When the exercise intensity is 65%VO2max,carbohydrate utilization ratio is higher than the fat utilization ratio.When the exercise intensity is 80%VO2max,carbohydrate utilization ratio is near to 90%.(2)Among resting,65%VO2max and 80%VO2max intensity exercise,carbohydrate consumption and total consumption are highest during the 80%VO2max intensity exercise,fat consumption is highest during the 65%VO2max intensity exercise.
