The new curriculum standards require students to take part in the teaching activity by themselves during the process of learning and only in this way can the students develop their ability of mathematical thinking,problem solving and emotional attitude.Mathematical concept has played an important role in math teaching.Concept teaching can make a big difference to student's math learning and development.According to the findings of the survey about concept teaching,“spoon-feeding education” is still the main model of teaching which ignore the students' own exploration of the concept formation and violate the rules of the students' cognitive development.Scaffolding teaching,as a teaching method,can make the students self-construct the knowledge.Therefore,this thesis intends to study the availability and value of using scaffolding teaching method in the concept teaching.The article from the perspective of practice to survey the current situation of junior middle school mathematics concept teaching,find out the current problems existing in the concept teaching and analysis the feasibility of application in the teaching of mathematics concept by combining the theory.The article states the scaffolding instruction of links,mathematical support types and application of the principle of the model in mathematical concept teaching.To check the effect of application in mathematical concept teaching,the article carry out the experimental study,based on the comparison of experimental classes and comparative classes students' concept construction ability,the changes of experimental classes of students' study interest and interviews with students after the experiment to check the application of this model in mathematical concept teaching effectiveness.After being concluded validity,according to mathematics curriculum standards and combing with the principles of the model to design the concept of teaching.Through the study on the practice of scaffolding instruction model,on the basis of these facts we can reach the following conclusions: firstly,the application of scaffolding instruction in junior middle school mathematics concept teaching has no effect on students' understanding of the concept,but it can improves the level of students' understanding and application of the mathematics concept.Secondly,it could improve the students' interest in maths study and change mathematics concept learningattitude and methods of students.
