The fundamental purpose of chemistry education in secondary schools is to improve the students' core competence of chemistry, and the basic concept of chemistry is the essential element of chemical core. At present, there are many theoretical studies on the basic concept of chemistry, but there are few studies on the development of the conservatism concept of high school students, the factors influencing the development of high school students 'chemical conservatism and the cultivation of high school students'conservatism, so I put forword the research topic. On the basis of relevant theoretical research, I have made several tests and adjustments, and finally compiled a questionnaire with good reliability and validity. In the course of the research, questionnaire survey method, interview method, classroom observation method and other methods were used to study the cognition of conservation of the senior high school students in the first grade, the second grade and the third grade.Six classes was surveyed, 334 questionnaires were distributed, twelve students were interviewed , and four chemistry teachers were observed in the chemical classroom. The survey data were processed by SPSS 17.0 statistical software, and the following conclusions were obtained:(1)At present, the concept of conservation of high school students moderate level of consciousness, the concept of conservation has not yet fully established. And the level of conservatism of high school students was significantly different between the first grade and the second grade, the first grade and the third grade, and the second grade and the third grade . Among them, the development level of the second and third grade students is significantly higher than that of the first grade, while the development level of the third grade students is better than that of the second grade, but the difference is not as significant as the first grade and the second grade, and the first grade and the third grade.(2)The development of the concept of conservation of the learners is not balanced, for the conservation of mass and conservation of elements in the middle level, to correctly understand the concept of conservation and interpretation of life in the chemical phenomenon, and atomic conservation, conservation of energy and energy conservation awareness is relatively poor, the majority of learners there is cognitive bias.(3)The factors that influence the level of development of conservatism are obvious, such as grade differences, class differences, while the factors such as teacher differences, academic achievement differences are not very obvious.(4)There is a certain relationship between the developmental level of the concept of conservation of the learner and the growth of the concept of conservatism, and the mastery of the concept of the concept of conservation of the learner does not represent a high level of development. Therefore, we have put forward the teaching design and teaching strategies for the cultivation of the concept of conservatism of high school students. In order to test its effectiveness, two parallel classes of the third grade of the senior high school were chosen as the experimental class and the control class, and the teaching experiment was conducted for about three months. At the end of the experiment, the results of the experiment were tested by questionnaires, interviews and tests. The results show that the experimental class scores and test scores were significantly higher than the control class, experimental class students interest in learning is also higher than the control class, which shows that the teaching design and teaching strategies we proposed are feasible.
