For the curriculum standards of basic education in the 21st century,the implementation of new curriculum is the inevitable choice to realize the goal of quality education.On January 16,2018,the ministry of education issued the“Chemistry Curriculum Standards of Ordinary High Schools?2017 edition?”after continuous practice and summary.The reform of the new curriculum standard calls for the cultivation of teaching methods and students'discipline quality,which means the reform of traditional teaching and the gradual transformation from traditional feeding teaching to the cultivation of students'discipline quality.In the traditional teaching,teachers take imparting as the basic and test papers cores as the assessment benchmark;points are the gold toot of students,and one point determines the winner or loss.However,the new curriculum standard upgrades on the basis of the three-dimensional goal of the previous curriculum standard,which not only requires students to reach the standard of intellectual knowledge,but also requires students to form the core quality of chemistry after learning knowledge.Chemistry is characterized by scattered knowledge,incoherent content and insufficient system.Therefore,how to train students to learn and form a systematic and coherent knowledge network is the focus of contemporary teacher education.This paper studies the cultivation of core concept modeling ability of senior high school students under the theory of learning progression.This paper makes a theoretical study on the modeling situation in current chemistry teaching by reading literatures.Through the literature review of the research status at home and abroad,it is found that there are few research topics on the core concept modeling of chemistry in China,let alone the research on the cultivation of the core concept modeling ability of high school students.So this article from the core concept of chemistry,the core concept modeling ability of high school chemistry of Harbin,by making a survey of school students in different levels using SPSS22.0 analyze the questionnaire data,thus it is concluded that high school teachers in the classroom whether consciously cultivate the students'modeling ability and students'satisfaction in modeling the classroom.In addition,two outstanding teachers with different qualifications were interviewed during the internship to obtain the teachers'views on the research,the strategy of cultivating the core concept modeling ability of chemistry in senior high school students is obtained.
