The Research On The Value Of The School Motto Of National Universities In The Personality Cultivation Among College Student

The school motto is the soul of a university.The personality cultivation of college students is related to the all-round development of college students and the effect of quality-oriented education.National universities undertake thesignificant responsibility of cultivating high-quality talents for ethnic areas.The motto plays an active role in the personality cultivation of college students,with both function of dominant education and recessive education.In order to better promote the personality cultivation of college students,this thesis mainly discusses the value of school motto in the personality cultivation of college students.This thesis first gives a brief introduction of the research background,purpose,significance and etc.,the current research status be reviewed inside as well.Then,the thesis reviews the development of national universities,and also analyzes the motto of these schools.Through the analysis,I think the motto of national universitiescarries the function of cultivating and practicing socialist core values.The motto of national universities has a close relationship with the personality cultivation of college students.The personality cultivation of college studentsis not only the inevitable requirement of the mainstream ideology of the society,but also the inevitable requirement of the self-development of college students and the development of collegeeducation.The motto of national universities reflects the target and contents of personality cultivation of college students.From the point of view of the target,mainly including strengthening the national will,attaching importance to the socialist ethics and behavior requirements,and paying attention to the individual development of college students.From the point of view of content,including patriotism education,social ethics education and etc..Then based on the methods like interviews,questionnaires and the other ways,a survey is conducted on the value of school motto in personality cultivation among college students in national universities.After investigation,we found that college students have good cognition of their own school motto and the value of the personality cultivation,and they highly endorsed the guiding value,promoting value,enhancing value and regulating value of the school motto in the personality cultivation.However,after the overall review,we foundthat the school motto of the national universities didn't play an ideal role in the development of personality cultivation due to various factors.In the last part of this thesis,according to the analysis of the value of school motto in the development of personality cultivation among college students,it is suggested that the national universities should combine with the actual situation of the school,and utilize the means and resources of the school motto.Aiming at the insufficient function of the value of school motto in the development of personality cultivation among college students in national universities,it is proposed to increase the construction of characteristic culture of the school motto,and attaching more importance to the promotion of school motto.It is also suggested to combine the various measures,carry out the personality cultivation of college students,and make further efforts to guide the college students to develop healthy personalities.
