As questioning is very important in effective teaching,in this study,according to questioning,the relevant knowledge and research of students' learning enthusiasm and the implementation process of teachers' classroom teaching,this paper has investigated,studied and analyzed the current state of questioning and its influences on students' learning enthusiasm in senior high school English teaching.I have mainly studied two questions:First,what is the current state of questioning in senior high school English teaching?Second,what are the influences of questioning on students' learning enthusiasm in senior high school English teaching?This research takes no.9 middle school Changsha County for example,and the research shows that there are good things of the current state of questioning in senior high school English teaching as well as many urgent problems to be solved.Through questionnaires,interviews and classroom record,this research summarizes that the number of questions and questioning pattern have a positive effect on students' learning enthusiasm.On the one hand,the teacher asking questions as many as possible can benefit students' learning and if the teacher often asks students' questions,students will be more willing to learn English.On the other hand,if the teacher uses this questioning pattern,"teacher asks questions-students answer questions-the teacher continues to ask students questions based on students'answers-students answer questions further",which will help students understand the knowledge better.During classroom questioning,the following actions will greatly dampen students' learning enthusiasm:First,the classroom is too noisy,the teacher is often interrupted to maintain discipline.Second,the teacher treats excellent students and poor students differently.The teacher often asks excellent students questions,but pay little attention to poor students.Third,when students can not answer the questions,the teacher will show some negative emotions,such as impatience,discrimination,unfriendly eyes,making fun of students and so on.Fourth,the teacher often criticizes students in English class and few students are encouraged,even there is no praise in English class.Of course,each teacher in this research also has different effects on students' learning enthusiasm in the classroom questioning.
