Parental Cognition And Parental Competence:The Paradox Of Family Growth In Informal Employment Dual-career Family

Part of the parents of the informal employment dual-career families have a clear under-standing about how to be a good parent,but some parents are lack of parental performance concept.But they are expected to provide children with better material conditions and family education so that children will have a better future,escaping from their own class to achieve upward mobility smoothly.However, due to economic capital,cultural capital, social capital ,occupation and other reasons, resulting in the ability to perform their duties is limited.They can not reasonably balance the contradictions between work and companionship, material life and emotional escort contradictions. The paradox of family growth appears,which reflects the general dilemma faced by hundreds of millions of informal employment families. So it is necessary to study the parental imagination and competence of informal employment dual-career families.It is pointed out that parenting cognition and behavior have great influence on the development of child's psychology and behavior.Good parenting style and behavior can predict the positive development of children,children will have excellent academic performance,good relationships,strong competitiveness, less deviation behavior,and some scholars pointed out that the family rearing style can affect the class reproduction.Therefore, the author choose the parental awareness and ability from the parents of the daily to rethink class reproduction.A general family and a dual-career family of informal employment are compared to the status of their parents.Found that the child which have a parent with good parental cognition and ability grows better.Choose 16 informal employment dual-career Families to analysis their parenting cognition and capacity.It is found that the families are faced family growth paradox-the contradiction between work and companionship,material life and emotional care.They lack parenting knowledge and skills,the growth of children is not good,father's job "dislocation,education and scripting do not match.Therefore, the author based on the problems which faced by the informal employment dual-career families from the perspective of social work to make recommendations.Social workers should promote the development of policies related to informal employment, enhance the economic capital of informal employment dual-career families.Relying on the community to enhance their social capital,To carry out parenting and adult education, to enhance the ability of parents to perform their duties. From the micro and macro perspective to help non-formal employment of dual-career families to ease the paradox of family growth ,to provide good material and educational conditions for their children.,so that children can complete the socialization better.
