Objective To research for middle school students’understanding of the connotation of "responsibility"; Focus on how the parenting style making effect on middle school students’sense of responsibility by the Parental Requires of responsibility.Methods Adopting the EMBU; In the daily life of responsibility scale and the parental requires questionnaire, surveyed 310 middle school students in Urumqi, then made statistical analysis, such as content analysis, correlation analysis, ANOVA, hierarchical regression analyzes on the data.Results (1) The understanding of the connotation of responsibility for middle school students involved in five aspects, including the function, judgment, object, content and attitude. (2) The events reported by middle school students include four categories, namely mission success, mission failures in the event, fault make up, fault neglect events. (3) The demographic factors, such as gender, education, family income of parents have an impact to parenting style and parental requirements. (4) The parenting style and responsibility development of students significantly related, cognitive of responsibility and behaviors have significant positive correlation with parenting style emotional warmth type, and have significant negative correlation with severely punished type and refused to deny type. Responsibility emotion has significant positive correlation with parenting style of emotional warmth type. (5) Parental requirements have significant positive correlation with students’ responsibility. (6) Parental requires can be divided into four types, namely negative type, contradiction type, positive type and control type. (7) Parental requires is complete intermediary variable, parenting style affects the development of middle school students’responsibility by the effects of parental requires of responsibility. |
