Questioning is one of the most important teaching skills frequently used in classroom teaching. It also plays an important part in effective teaching. The quality of questions affects the quality of classroom teaching directly. The level of teachers' questions is not only related to the technique of questioning, but also to the types of questions.By learning the use of Bloom's six-level questions in senior English reading class and the situation of students' oral production, teachers can understand students' classroom expressions so as to adjust the design and application of question types in the future reading class.Based on the classification system of Bloom's six-level questions, four senior high school teachers and their students are selected from a middle school in Tai Zhou. With the methods of audio recording, interviews and questionnaires, the paper tries to explore the following three questions:(1)What is the application of Bloom's six-level questions in senior English reading class?(2)What are the quantity and quality of the students' oral production to teachers' questions?(3)What are the quantity and quality of the students' oral production to Bloom's six-level questions?Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)In senior English reading class, comprehension questions occupy a large proportion of the total questions, followed by knowledge questions.Analysis questions, synthesis questions, application questions and evaluation questions rank third to sixth respectively.(2)The quantity and quality of students' oral production in senior English reading class are low.The words of students' oral production are few,and the forms are mainly incomplete and simple.(3)There are significant differences in the quantity and quality of students' oral production between six-level questions. The quantity and quality of students' oral production led by analysis questions and synthesis questions(there are no evaluation questions being asked by teachers)are higher than those led by knowledge questions, comprehension questions and application questions. At the end of the paper, main findings and some suggestions of the survey are presented and concluded. After pointing out limitations of this paper, some prospects for future study are provided.
