New Curriculum Standard made higher requirements for learners’ English communicative ability andteacher’s talk quality. As a very important aspect of teacher talk, teacher feedback not only is the bridgebetween teachers and learners to interact in the classroom, but also is a very important factor that effectslearners’ input and output of language. In addition, teacher feedback plays a vital role in improving teachingefficiency of classroom and facilitating learners’ language acquisition. Therefore it is very necessary andsignificant to do a further study on teacher feedback. On the one hand, the studies on teacher feedback couldenrich the studies on second language acquisition; on the other hand, the researchers on teacher feedback couldimprove teaching efficiency and teacher development. The data was collected through the following two steps:video-recording the whole classes of the two excellent teachers and interviewing the two teachers after that. Then the video-recorded and interviewed materials were transcribed, which included marking different types offeedback and feedback strategy; figuring up the numbers of feedback types and feedback strategies; working outthe numbers of learners’ sentences inspired by different types of feedback and the numbers of learners’ wordsinspired by different types of feedback strategy. After that, learners’ oral production was analyzed through thefollowing dimensions----fluency, complexity and accuracy, and a T-test was also given to show the differencebetween content feedback and form feedback with the help of SPSS16.0. Finally, the conclusions were reached:1) excellent English teachers paid more attention to the facilitating role of feedback in learners’ languageacquisition;2) excellent English teachers could neatly employ different kinds of feedback strategy;3) excellentEnglish teachers’ feedback could facilitate learners’ oral production. However, the result of the study could onlybe a limited reference since its small sample. Besides, the talking about teacher feedback was given withoutnonverbal feedback. Therefore, it is necessary to overcome the two shortcomings in the future study.
