| Recently,the micro-lecture that is characterized as short,tiny,fine and firm gradually got the attention from extensive basic education workers with the establishments of some basic education reform projects,including "flipped classroom","electronic schoolbag","blended learning".Therefore,the micro video,as the main resource carrier,also got comprehensive attention from the general public.Even though the micro video is increasingly applied in the basic education field,the study on micro video for different knowledge types is less,and psychology-based micro video studies are still relatively weak,which leads to the poor application of micro videos.Based on the perspectives of subjective feeling and objective statistic of senior middle school students,this study employs questionnaires and eye movement experiment to explore the influence of the different instructor’s presentations to senior middle school students’ learning process and effectiveness in different knowledge types’ micro videos.The final purpose is aiming to explore the best presentation of the instructors in different knowledge types’ micro videos and provide the scientific reference to designing and producing of micro videos.This study mainly consists of two parts.They are the effect of the instructor’s presentation on senior middle school students learning process and effectiveness in declarative knowledge micro videos and the effect of the instructor’s presentation on senior middle school students learning process and effectiveness in procedural knowledge micro videos.Every part has fo ur eye movement experiments.They focus on the influence of the different instructor’s presentations which include micro videos with instructor figure and micro videos with instructor figure,the figure of the instructor’s presentation(real figure and animated figure),the way of instructor’s presentation(integration,embedded and classroom record),and the time of instructor’s presentation(continuous presentation and intermittent presentation)to the senior middle school students’ sense of soc ietal presence,lear ning satisfaction,cognitive load,visual attention and learning effectiveness.Through a series of experiments,we got the following conclusions.(1)There was not significant effect of the instructor’s presentation on the sense of societal presence and cognitive load which were experienced by senior middle school students in different knowledge types’ micro videos learning process.(2)In the declarative knowledge micro videos learning process,the instructor figure could reduce the attention of senior middle school students to PPT content and improve the learning effectiveness of senior middle school students.In the procedural knowledge micro videos learning process,the instructor figure could also reduce the attention of senior middle school students to PPT content,but it had no effect on the learning effectiveness.(3)The figure of the instructor’s presentation almost had no effect on the learning process and effectiveness of senior middle school students in different type’s knowledge micro videos,but the real instructor figure could increase senior middle school students’ attention to the instructor figure in the procedural knowledge micro videos.(4)In the declarative knowledge micro videos learning process,the different instructor’s presentations had no effect on learning satisfaction of senior middle school students,and the way of instructor’s presentation that was embedded could reduce senior middle school students’ attention to the instructor figure and improve the learning effectiveness of senior middle school students.In the procedural knowledge micro videos learning process,the way of ins tructor’s presentation that was embedded could increase learning satisfaction of senior middle school students and reduce senior middle school students’ attention to the instructor figure,but it had no effect on their learning effectiveness.(5)The time of instructor’s presentation had no effect on learning satisfaction and learning satisfaction of senior middle school students in different knowledge types’ micro videos,but continuous instructor’s presentation could increase senior middle school students’ attention to the instructor figure,but it could reduce their attention to PPT content.Based on the above research results,this study provides the following series of instructive suggestions for the micro video designing and developing.(1)To avoid the online learning theory and multimedia theory directly applied to the micro video designing and developing.(2)The instructor figure is not optional,whether the instructor figure depending on the knowledge type.(3)In the micro video we can use the animated instructor figure to simulate the teaching of real instructors.(4)The way of instructor’s presentation that was embedded could be more beneficial to learning in the micro video.(5)The attention resources of learners are limited within unit time,so that the time of instructor’s presentation should be appropriate. |
