Benefiting from the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology and the need of intelligent education,developing a machine for solving arithmetic word problem has been a long-standing and even hotter active research in recent year.To overcome the bottleneck of semantic understanding of the subject.Our project team has proposed a new theory that can represent the meaning of mathematics equivalents by establishing quantity relationship group consist of the quantitative relation of direct statements and the implicit quantitative relation.Then solving the corresponding algebra expression group to reach the goal of automatically solving mathematics word problem and expanding the scope of solvable arithmetic word problems.In this paper we did the research of quantitative unit system in the application of mathematics in elementary school,constructed the unit conversion rule query library reasonably,analyzed the type of unit knowledge that the mathematics problem inspected,to help understanding the unit knowledge based on building the implied quantity relations in framework of the automatic solution.By analyzing and counting the unit keywords that appear in the mathematics problem,we can deduce whether the unit operation should be carried out in the automatic problem solving process or not.If necessary,we locate the position of unit system conversion rules library to get the aimed conversion rules according to the unit keywords that appear in the subject.So we can have the implied quantitative relationship of unit.The main research work in this paper is as follows:In the first part,we Sorted and summarized all application mathematics teaching materials from third grade to sixth grade in primary school,filtered the application mathematics problems that related to unit system.The unit keywords that appeared in the unit-related mathematics problems were gathered,and were divided into six large categories according to the physical unit classification.The unit classification can be the basis for the construction of querying rules between the units.In the second part,the java version interface that the NIPIR provided was used to mark the characteristic of a certain words.We did the research to analyze the characteristic of unit keywords that appeared in topic text,and designed different algorithm to extract the unit keywords in the mathematics topic according to the different characteristic of different unit keywords.In the third part,combining the target units keywords set that extracted from the subject and the physical unit classification model that summarized in the first part,we can determined which unit knowledge type the mathematics problem inspected,and the necessary to have unit unification operation in problem-solving process.if necessary,we locate the position of unit system conversion rules library to get the aimed conversion rules according to the unit keywords that appear in the subject.
