A Study On Hospice Care Based On Social Work Projects

With lifestyle changes and living conditions, cancer has become one of the world's leading causes of death, accounting for about 13% of deaths in 2008, with a population of 76 million. In China, however, it has shown a bad momentum of development , the rising number of people with cancer, combined with the complexity of the cause of disease , on the one hand, it has affected the good development of the social economy, on the other hand, it has caused the family to sink into poverty and suffer the physical and psychological suffering of the patients ,so far ,this cancer has become a serious social problem. Li Jiacheng hospice,all over the country,so far,has 32 companies, Provide analgesia treatment, nursing care, psychological guidance and so on for the terminally ill cancer patients . Take Shantou as the beginning ,Li Jiacheng hospital in the mainland has become everywhere,But look at the service area,most of the cities are conveniently located, far from the countryside and with good medical conditions,the number of people receiving help is limited. In the countryside far from the city and the traffic is inconvenient,the patient still hasn't changed. However, the help and support of hospice services still give hope to cancer patients and their families , let the patient protect the dignity of life, painless in the end of life,and let the family get comfort.This paper attempts to start from the professional social work perspective, combined with the study of social work practice, using crisis intervention theory and social construction theory to analyze and study how to intervene end-of -life care service for cancer patients and using the method of case analysis and data collection, we will discuss how to effectively adopt the form of social work projects to truly carry out hospice care .The study found that hospice care, Chinese slowly began to start, but due to the lack of professional staff and the lack of attention, it's hard to really provide substantial help to patients with advanced cancer,remain in the small stage, such as the establishment of hospital sanatorium , there are full-time workers, but according to a series of problems,can not start,so can only start from the traditional social work service, in essence, it has no effect on dying patients,and unable to die with dignity and no pain. And Li Jiacheng will keep fund services primarily through cooperation with colleges and Universities,services in the form of social work projects,is an example of hospice care.Therefore, this paper is mainly based on the development and achievement of the hospice care program in Changchun , to analyze and study the necessity and feasibility of intervention in hospice care on the basis of social work projects , and finally, provide an intervention approach to hospice care and on the basis of the formation of a Chinese, and on this basis, the formation of a more suitable for China's program.
