| Since the senior English curriculum is being reformed,reading has become a more and more important part in English Teaching,as a result,a large number of researchers begin to study on it.However,the teaching design of senior English reading is ignored,though it has a quite critical effect on teaching quality.After looking up some relevant literature,the author finds that since Mind Mapping is introduced into the educational field,it has played a positive role in the reform of English curriculum.Nowadays,Mind Mapping has also become one of the hottest research topics as a new sally port to reform the traditional teaching methods.Of course,as a tool that can be used to visual knowledge,Mind Mapping can use its own visual advantage to help teachers establish the connection of knowledge and organize the overall framework of passages.With the teaching method based on Mind Mapping,teachers can also complete their teaching process better,thus stimulate the students’ learning interest in class of English reading,and then enhance the quality of senior English reading teaching.Therefore,this research applies Mind Mapping to teaching design of senior English reading,aiming at exploring the efficiency after putting it into practice.In this paper,the author directs at the application of Mind Mapping in designing senior English reading teaching as well as practice,firstly analyzes the domestic and foreign research and development on Mind Mapping.And then,the research mainly adopts the experimental pedagogy based on discussing the Knowledge Visualization Theory,Meaningful Learning Theory as well as Schema Theory.This research takes two parallel classes in grade two,from Yan’an Senior High School,as research subjects,and the paper contains five aspects,including reading teaching design,questionnaire survey,teaching practice,interview of teachers and reading comprehension test.After analyzing the results of questionnaires,interview as well as the scores of pre-test and post-test,the research finally makes a conclusion that put the teaching design of senior high school English reading based on Mind Mapping into effect can stimulate students’ interest in reading,improve the quality of classroom teaching,and ultimately improve the students’ English reading ability. |
