Research On The Impact Of Family Life-cycle On Migrant Behavior Of Rural Household In Mountains

Agriculture is the foundation of China and the base of a large agricultural country.For such a large agricultural country,the three rural issues require higher attention.The essence and core of the problem of agricultural problem of farmers.The fundamental solution to the "three rural issues" depends on the fundamental liberation of rural productive forces and the development of urbanization in China.With the development of modernization and urbanization,a large number of rural labor transfer to the city and many farmers have chosen to go out to work as a means of livelihood.Therefore,in the context of the concern of farmers,study of migrant workers' behavior is also the focus of rural issues.Family life-cycle theory pioneered by Rowntree(1903)proposed to study the problem of poverty.Then a large number of domestic and foreign scholars studied the theory and application of the family life-cycle.However,there are still some shortcomings on the study.Because of the difference between the foreign family pattern and the rural family model in China,the family life-cycle model constructed by foreign scholars is not suitable for most rural families in China.The Chinese cultural and regional differences make the family life-cycle model built by domestic scholars may only be suitable for the families of their own sampling survey.Therefore,based on the existing literature on the research and analysis,a rural family life-cycle model for the investigation of the mountain farmers is established combining with the actual data characteristics,and the reasonableness of the newly built family life-cycle model is verified.At first,this paper demonstrates the dynamic link theoretically between family life-cycle and farmers' migrant behavior and describes the main reason of farmers' migrant behavior.On this basis,a new rural environment for Chinese Family life-cycle Model is built.Then,the characteristics of farmers' migrant behavior are analyzed through 578 households sample survey data in Hubei province in 2015,and the dynamic changes of farmers' migrant behavior were statistically descripted by using newly constructed family life-cycle model.Finally,through two multiple linear regression model and two multinomial logistic regression model,the relationship between the family life-cycle and farmers' migrant working behavior is empirically analyzed,the reasonableness of the newly built family life-cycle model is demonstrated,and the relationship between family life-cycle and farmers' migrant behavior.The study found that migrant farmers' behavior is different vary with different stages of family life-cycle,including working time of migrant workers,the number of family migrant workers,nature of migrant workers and the work place of migrant workers.
