Training needs analysis is the primary part of t he training system,which can directly determine the effectiveness of training.But in reality,the training needs of senior middle school teachers are often neglected,and the phenomenon of poor teacher training is much common.This study focuses on the new requ irements of th e new co llege entrance examination for the professional development of senior middle school teachers,and explores three questions: What are the training needs of senior middle school teachers currently? What are the characteristics of the training needs? How to improve the teacher training to meet the training needs of senior middle school teachers?Based on th e combing of literature materials,this paper uses the classical training need analysis model(OTP model)in human resource management to carry out the training needs of ordinary senior middle school teachers from the three levels: organization,task and personnel.In this paper,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the training ne eds of the personnel level.A questionnaire survey was conducted on 206 full-time teachers in four public senior middle schools in four regions of Ningbo,which uses random sampling.Seven teachers were chosen for interview from the four schools involved in the survey.Concluded as follow:The need for vocational knowledge training fo r senior m iddle school teachers is m ore prominent,and the need for m ental health knowledge training is becoming more and more urgent after the implementation of the "new college entrance examination".The need for the training of teaching knowledge and ability can not be negl ected in the sam e way.Senior middle school teachers are more eager to participate in the training activities with a strong sense of participation;Training tutor such as ex perienced front-line teachers a nd professionals in the relevant areas are more popular.There are no signif icant differences in the training ne eds of senior m iddle school teachers with different titles and different educational backgrounds.However,there are significant differences in t he training needs of professional sk ills and com petencies.The m ain training motivation of their training behavior is the interest in learning,and the external requirements which impact the motivation can not be ignored.Senior middle teachers have not formed the norm of selflearning yet,and teachers still need to be encouraged for teacher training.Based on the conclusions above,this study puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the training of senior m iddle school teachers: aim ing at different internal and external training needs,carry out the training acti vities in a variety of themes in time;pay at tention to the participation of trained teachers,and develop a variety of ways of the teacher training based on interactive communication;integrate teachers re sources rationally,and st rengthen the school cooperation and inter-school cooperation;establish the multiple evaluation mechanism,and focus on the long-term evaluation of training results.Tr ained teachers should recognize their own training needs and improve personal learning and reflective awareness.
