The Construction Of College Students’ Core Values From The Perspective Of Cultural Consciousness

Culture is the blood and soul of a nation.The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)pointed out: "We must adhere to the orientation of advanced socialist culture,establish a high level of cultural consciousness and cultural self-confidence,and make great strides toward the goal of building a strong socialist country." In 2016,general secretary Xi Jinping in the ideological and political work conference pointed out that China’s higher education is shouldering the important task of training the all-round development of socialist builders and successors,must adhere to the correct political orientation.At present,China is in the background of cultural blending,economic globalization and cultural diversification,the thoughts of college students are becoming more open,however,some of them develop a blind worship of Western culture,their behavior shows varying degrees of confusion and puzzle.Therefore,it is an important task to strengthen the recognition and practice of the socialist core values education of college students.This paper explores the current situation and predicament of the core values education from the perspective of cultural consciousness,and analyzes the factors that influence the construction of the core values.The aims of this study is to guide the students’ cultural selection and discrimination ability with the help of traditional wisdom,in order to help the contemporary college students have a comprehensive understanding of Chinese culture,stimulate their internal cultural consciousness,make it a responsibility to play the national culture of the conscious inheritor,practitioners and creators.At the same time,in the process of spreading and constructing the core values of college students in Colleges and universities must establish "cultural consciousness","cultural education" play the role of the main content of "cultural elements" and the socialist core value system through the core values education of college students has always been.At the same times,the self-awareness,self-awakening and self-action of university students will be presented at a large scale,thus will contribute a lot for the students to continuously push forward the goal of great development and prosperity of socialist culture.
